Satellite cables and RF antenna coax cables are inputs from the satellite and TV aerial, from outside coming in to the building, to the television equipment. These coaxial cables are also sometimes used to connect a VCR, DVD player, satellite box or even games consoles to the television set.
All these devices can actually become at risk from surges entering the building via that coax cable from the satellite and TV aerial. Having a Type 3 (CLASS III) surge protected device (like a surge protected socket strip) on the inside of your building is protecting the items plugged in to that from surges coming from internal sources, but this does not stop an incoming surge coming in via the RF or satellite cable; so all those pieces of electrical equipment connected to the TV are interlinked via those cables, which could potentially be at risk.
We offer a range of products to protect your equipment from such damaging surges occurring to your equipment.
